My obsession with wine began in 1999 while working my way through a farm-to-table restaurant to pay for my International Business and Finance degree at the University of Arkansas. A single glass of a cellared 1986 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon—with its complex layers and unforgettable 60-second finish—completely changed my trajectory.
After a stint in financial services and several years living and working across Western Europe learning regional viticultural cultures and cuisines, I settled in Dallas in 2005 to dedicate my life to the craft. Today, wine is intrinsically woven into my life—my wife is a fellow wine professional, and we are raising our two sons right here in Texas with the same appreciation for dedication and excellence.
